Cats are in love with toys. And people who love cats love to watch cats play with their toys.
If you were to close your eyes and reflect to your happiest instances with your cats, chances are that the images that stand out into your mind involve your cats at play. Stalking, attacking, overpowering, and batting toys around offers cats and their people tons of joy - so why do cats so often overlook the toys we bring home for them?
There is one very practical rule to keep in mind about getting toys for cats:
Cats enjoy variety. Cats like to have a toy in every category all the time.
Cats don't just like toys. They love lots of toys. They like a selection of interactive cat toys that use all of their hunting skills. If you have plenty of toys, you can rotate your cat's selections so they can hunt for a best-loved toy. Just don't hide a favorite toy away forever. Ensure your cats have opportunities to play with all of their toys regularly.
What are the groups of cat toys? Here are just a few:
Balls and chasers entice your cat to chase with feathers, fun noises, and uncommon shapes.
Catnip toys are intoxicating toys your cats will beg for.
Chew toys are a great alternative for cats that like to chew, and they also help to keep your cat's breath fresh and teeth well-maintained.
Interactive and electronic toys highlight the best in your cat's hunting talents.
Plush and mice toys eventually are treasured toys that can soothe and calm your cat when it's time to go into the carrier.
Scratcher posts and mats are a must for senior cats and kitties.
Teasers and wands are fantastic toys for sharing playtime with your cat.
Tunnels become the hiding places where you can quickly find your cat.
And variety packs help you ensure your cat always has a fun toy.
Remember to search for cat-sized toys, not human-sized toys.
Cats like toys that are light and small enough to be swatted without a lot of effort. They also prefer toys that are small enough to be grasped. And their favorite toys are objects they can engage with in multiple ways.
And keep in mind that cats need safe toys.
When you are trying to find toys for your cat, you need to be sure they don't have any strings that could be pulled off and ingested. They need to be large enough that your cat won't try to eat them. They need to be made from non-toxic materials. Small button eyes and button noses are adorable, but anything that can be bitten off and swallowed is dangerous for your cat. Cats of all ages can be harmed by toys with sharp points and edges. Buy safe toys to keep your cats safe. At Bark & Purr we only provide toys that are healthy for your cat.

Excellent experience at Bark&Purrr... brought my cat Cody, who is very anxious. B&P passed with flying colors, very pleasant, did a great job. Highly recommended. Wouldn't go anywhere else to have my cat groomed!
I love this place! Everyone is so loving and helpful.

Great place for your dogs to get groomed. Amazing staff and great atmosphere
I take my dog to daycare here two to three times a week and I have him groomed here once a month. The service is excellent and it's really great to support a family black owned business. It might be slightly more expensive than a Petco or PetSmart (were talking the difference between 3-6$ depending on the service) but who cares it's marginal and much closer to my house and way better service with way more love and care that you don't get from corporate places. they remember my dog's name and he absolutely loves going there they are the absolute sweetest! HIGHLY RECCOMEND!
