REQUIREMENTS AND RULES FOR NEW CLIENTS
1.) Temperament: Your dog must not have any history of aggression towards other dogs or people in an off leash play situation. Must play nice with other dogs around toys, food and new people.
2.) Vaccinations: Your dog must have current rabies, DHPP (distemper combination) and bordetella (or CIRD) vaccinations for at least one week before Orientation Day. Any initial series of vaccinations must also be complete. We accept titer tests in place of DHPP or rabies vaccinations. Titer test documents must show that your dog has sufficient immunity and needs to have a retest date. Other vaccinations, such as Canine Influenza and Leptospirosis are strongly recommended, but not required. Please talk to your veterinarian about the best vaccination strategy for your dog.
3.) Age: Must be at least 16 weeks of age on the day of the Temperament Test. Existing clients over the age of 11 are welcome!
4.) Spay/Neuter: Must be spayed or neutered if 3 years of age or older.
5.) Weight: Must be at least 5 pounds to play.
6.) Breed: We LOVE dogs! All dogs! As long as your pup passes our Temperament Test, they are welcome to play and stay!
7.) Health Conditions: The following health conditions make it unsafe for your dog to play with us: total blindness, severe or uncontrolled seizures, diabetes, cardiomyopathy, Addison's disease, bloat/gastric torsion, more than one leg amputation, exercise induced collapse or any other major or life threatening health problem or problem that prevents your dog from safely playing with other dogs in a group situation.
8.) Prohibited Items: Bandages, cones, stitches, booties/socks, bandannas, bows, flea/tick collars and similar items will be eaten by other dogs and are not allowed.
9.) Flea/Tick Prevention: A topical or chewable flea and tick preventative such as Frontline, Bravecto, or NexGard is required. A flea/tick collar will not be sufficient as it can get chewed off by the other dogs (if dog must wear a collar, exceptions will be made on a case by case basis.
10.) Attire: All dogs must wear identification tags on a collar or harness.
11.) Contagious Conditions: Dogs found to have puppy warts, kennel cough, worms, fleas, parasites, frequent or liquid diarrhea, vomiting or any other potentially contagious condition, illness or injury will be isolated in a kennel in our Spa Area. We will then contact the owner(s) to determine the best course of action. If an owner cannot be reached, the dog may be taken for treatment by a veterinarian at the owner's expense.
12.) Behavior: Dogs who are behaving in a cranky or out of control manner will be kenneled in our Spa Area for a time out. Dogs who are endangering the safety of themselves or others will be kenneled in our Spa Area and the parents will be contacted. Dogs misbehaving overnight will be kenneled in our Spa Area until the morning.
Dogs exhibiting these behaviors may be asked to not come back: Aggressive or dangerous behavior towards other dogs or staff, excessively rough play, excessive barking or whining, excessive humping or any other disruptive behaviors. Staff will inform you if these behaviors are seen and will discuss options with you.
13.) Liability: The owner is responsible for injury or illness, including contagious illness.
14.) Owners are required to review and sign a contract upon arrival confirming acknowledgment and acceptance of these policies.
